Ashland Police Looking For People That Fled Fire Scene

On Monday, investigators were back at the scene of the fire at 714 W. Centre St. Ashland, that left 8 people homeless.

The fire happened early Monday morning around 3.A.M.

Ashland police actually called in the fire after they got a call that there were  individuals on the roof of the Mineshaft Restaurant which is up the street from where the fire took place.

They didn't find anything at the Mineshaft but they did see 2 individuals running from the scene where the fire started and spotted the blaze.

Ashland police began working to get everyone out of the building but as they kicked in one door, one of the t tenants ran from the scene, losing a shoe.  No name was given who the tenant was.

Investigators are saying right now that the cause of the fire is "undetermined".
