Lancaster Woman Arrested in Schuylkill Haven In Connection with Daughter's Death

Ranasia Knight
Last November, Jessica Bachman, Lancaster, sought out a protection from abuse order from Lester Johnson, her then live-in boyfriend after he threatened to kill her and her children.

A year before that, she sought out a PFA after he pulled her hair, attempted to pull her down the stairs, and threatened to kill her.  He also said he would have her and her children kidnapped.

Despite Johnson's previous history, Bachman left her 2 year old daughter, Ranasia, in the care of Johnson on January 11th.

According to authorities, that day, Johnson brutally beat Ranasia so badly that it resulted in her death.

Fast forward 9 months, Bachman now faces charges in her daughter's death.  Lancaster police charged Bachman with two counts of child endangerment.

On Monday, Bachman was arrested in Schuylkill Haven and taken back to Lancaster County and put in prison on $75,000 bail.

Johnson is also in Lancaster County Prison awaiting trial.
