Mt. Carbon /N. Manheim Twp. Fire Co. - WE WILL REBUILD

8 days ago, a fire that started in an abandoned house next door to the Mt. Carbon Fire Co. Headquarters, collapsed during the blaze, causing the fire company's building to catch fire as well.  Crews were able to salvage the equipment inside but their building wasn't.

The fire company has started their "WE WILL REBUILD" event and would like to let everyone know they are now taking donations.

To send donations for the loss of Fire Company, checks or money orders can be sent to:

M&T Bank
1 South Centre Street
Pottsville, PA 17901

in the memo please write: "Fire Fund"
You can also donate online here: http://www.mtcarbonfire.com/we-will-rebuild.php

Thank you so much for the ongoing support!
WE WILL REBUILD!

All five pieces of apparatus were saved from the fire, two of our apparatus were among may other  that were battling the blaze. Their brush Unit and their water rescue units are both being stored at close locations, while their tanker and squad are in-house within their other garage across the street. Despite the devastation  the Mt. Carbon / N. Manheim Twp. Fire Co. is back in service and still running calls. Their 54' Tele-Squirt is being thoroughly checked out after coming in contact with a high voltage line at the fire scene, and will come back to the station once released.
