3 Arrested After Robbery in Mahanoy City

2 Adults and a Juvenile were arrested Friday evening for a robbery in Mahanoy City.


According to the borough's Police Department Facebook Page, Mahanoy City Police arrested 2 adults and a 15 yr old juvenile following a strong-arm robbery in the borough Friday night.

At approx.. 8:15 PM last evening 3 males attacked a 17 yr old male, knocking him to the ground where they punched him about the head and kicked him in the chest several times. They then stole a backpack that he was wearing which contained the victims cell phone and other belongings.

Austin Creamer and Joseph Lumia were arraigned on charges of Robbery, Conspiracy, aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangering, theft, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and corruption of minors. Both Creamer and Lumia were committed to Schuylkill County Prison.

The juvenile involved faces all the same charges except the corruption of minors charge and he was placed in juvenile detention awaiting his hearing.
