Biker Dies from Injuries from Crash Near Hometown

A biker died Friday after a crash near Hometown.


After 6pm Friday evening, emergency crews were called to Lafayette Avenue for a crash where a biker lost control making a curve.  The bike left the roadway and hit a tree ejecting the biker into a wooded area.

Emergency personnel found the biker in critical condition but later died from the injuries.

Lafayette Avenue was closed for a period of time after while the crash was investigated.

No name was given at this time on who the person was that died.

Emergency personnel from Rush Township, Tamaqua, Nesquehoning and Lehighton responded.
