Schuylkill County High School Football Power Rankings After Week #1
1) North Schuylkill - starts out the season at #1 after a dominant performance over Tamaqua, but can they hold #1 the whole season? They play our #2 ranked team in week 2.
2) Blue Mountain - starts out the season strong with a win over Shenandoah Valley. Week 2 looks to be our game of the week when they face #1 North Schuylkill at home
3) Schuylkill Haven - An easy win for hurricanes against Panther Valley. They play Mahanoy Area at home in Week 2.
4 ) Tri-Valley - TV is was the one smaller teams in the county in number of players but don't count them out. They started out the season with a winner over Millersburg and will play at home this week against Upper Dauphin.
5) Marian Catholic - Started out the season against a tough opponent, Williams Valley and kept them to 7 points. They will play at home Week 2 against Panther Valley
6) Pine Grove - our number one team from last season lost in Week 1 against Northern Lebanon
7) Nativity BVM - Nativity scored through their Week 1 game against but New Hope Solebury was much stronger. They will play Jenkintown at home in Week 2.
8) Shenandoah Valley - Started out the season against a very strong Blue Mountain. Can they rebound when they travel to Jim Thorpe next week?
9) Mahanoy Area - struggled throughout Week 1 against Lehighton. They will need to bounce back when they travel to Schuylkill Haven for Week 2.
10) Panther Valley - another team who played against another strong team in Week 1, Schuylkill Haven. They will travel to Marian Catholic for Week 2.
11) Williams Valley - Another strong team from last year but struggled to get anything going in Week 1. They will travel to Millersburg next week.
12) Tamaqua Area - struggled with North Schuylkill in Week 1 and also lost their Quarterback to an injury. They play at home this week against Schuylkill Valley
13) Pottsville - very surprised to see this team be shut out in Week 1. Week 2 might be tougher when they play against Berwick
14) Minersville - they had a tough Week 1 after coming up scoreless against Jim Thorpe. In Week 2, they will travel to Lehighton
