Tamaqua Home Burglarized Friday; Reward Offered for Info Leading to Arrest

Tamaqua Police are investigating a burglary at a home of an 89-year-old woman who lives at 308 Gay Street in the borough. Luckily, the woman was not home when the burglary occurred.


Families members told TamaquaArea.com that burglar(s) entered the home between 9 AM and 6:30 PM (Friday, September 5, 2014) and stole jewelry and possibly other items.

The burglar(s) entered the home by breaking glass of a door to the home.

The family is offering a one-time $500 reward for new information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved. Tamaqua Crime Watch is offering an additional $100 reward for new information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved.
