Tamaqua Police are investigating two burglaries that occurred sometime Saturday night (September 6, 2014) into Sunday morning at two adjacent businesses, Lehigh Tire and All American Jeep, along SR309 in the north section of the borough. Thousands of dollars worth of tools and car parts were stolen.

The thieves busted in the back door and inside wall at Lehigh Tire. It is believed the same burglars harvested car parts from All American Jeep around the same time.

An employee of Lehigh Tire noticed the garage door open while passing by Sunday morning.
