School Buses Struck with Foreign Objects

School buses from North Schuylkill School District were struck with foreign objects in several incidents

Since Wednesday evening, rumors on social media have been that one of North Schuylkill School District's buses were shot at, but those rumors appear to be false.

According to the School District,

"We had several recent incidents where our school buses have been struck with foreign objects causing minimal damage. At this time we have no reason to believe it is a type of firearm being used, and the damage has not affected the operation of the buses. The safety of our students has not been compromised."

The district has been in contact with the Butler Township and surrounding Police Departments and are currently investigating the incidents. Anyone with information regarding this incident please contact the Butler Township Police Department at 570-875-4131 or 570-462-1991. If you would like to report anonymously please contact the North Schuylkill School District Tip Hotline at 570-874-0466 ext. 1847.

Teachers and parents of the School District were updated Thursday morning.
