A Winter Storm Watch has been issued by the National Weather Service


HEAVY SNOW POSSIBLE FROM THE COAL REGION INTO THE ENDLESS MOUNTAINS AND POCONOS... 

TIOGA-NORTHERN LYCOMING-SULLIVAN-COLUMBIA-SCHUYLKILL- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...MANSFIELD...WELLSBORO...LAPORTE... BLOOMSBURG...BERWICK...POTTSVILLE 406 AM EST MON DEC 8 2014 ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* HAZARDS...HEAVY SNOW AND LIGHT FREEZING RAIN.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 INCHES OR MORE IS POSSIBLE.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...UP TO A TENTH OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...MIXED PRECIPITATION DEVELOPING LATE TONIGHT WILL CHANGE TO HEAVY SNOW ON TUESDAY AND CONTINUE INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY.

* IMPACTS...POTENTIAL FOR DANGEROUS TRAVEL AND SOME POWER OUTAGES.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH POSSIBLE.

* TEMPERATURES...RANGING FROM THE UPPER 20S TO MID 30S.
