Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Schuylkill County

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TUESDAY TO 7 AM
EST WEDNESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...SLEET AND FREEZING
RAIN...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TUESDAY TO 7 AM EST
WEDNESDAY.

* LOCATIONS...THE NORTH-CENTRAL MOUNTAINS.

* HAZARD TYPES...LIGHT SNOW AND SLEET...CHANGING TO PERIODS OF
LIGHT FREEZING RAIN OR FREEZING DRIZZLE LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON
AND TUESDAY NIGHT.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF UP TO 1 INCH...ALONG WITH A
LIGHT COATING OF ICE.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL MOVE NORTH ACROSS THE AREA LATE TUESDAY
MORNING AND EARLY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. THE SNOW WILL MIX WITH OR
CHANGE TO SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN IN THE AFTERNOON...THEN CHANGE
TO OCCASIONAL LIGHT FREEZING RAIN IN THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT.

* IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS AND SLICK ROADS.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE UPPER 20S TO LOWER 30S.
