Over Half a Foot of Snow and Freezing Rain Expected Super Bowl Sunday

According to the National Weather Service's forecast, Schuylkill County could expect over half a foot of snow Sunday.

The National Weather Service continued it's Winter Storm Watch which is set for all of Central Pennsylvania.  The watch set for Sunday afternoon into Monday morning.

The storm is expected to start sometime Sunday morning as snow,  convert to freezing rain and plain rain in the afternoon, then once temperatures drop change back to snow again overnight.

While not giving a specific range of amounts, the NWS is calling for 6+ inches of snow for Schuylkill County.

PennDOT has also asked drivers to keep an eye on weather conditions if you are headed out to Super Bowl parties.

The day after the Super Bowl is typically the most called off day of work out of the entire year,  I think the snow will help most make that decision as well.
