PA State Police Seize Over $16 Million in Drugs in First Quarter

Pennsylvania State Police announced Monday that troopers seized over $16.2 million in heroin, marijuana and other prohibited drugs in the first quarter of 2015.

In the first quarter of 2015, troopers seized over 21 pounds of heroin and over 54 pounds of cocaine with a combined approximate street value of over $9.6 million. In addition, state police seized over 157,000 prescription pills valued over $3.1 million and over four pounds of methamphetamines valued at over $183,000. Troopers seized over 1,400 pounds of marijuana with an estimated value of $1.9 million.

In 2014, the state police seized over $107 million in prohibited drugs.
