Shenandoah Man Arrested After Fleeing from Police
On Friday April 10, an officer on patrol In the area of North Broad Street in West Hazleton noticed a vehicle being driven with an expired Pennsylvania inspection sticker. The driver of the vehicle refused to stop, accelerating rapidly while the officer followed with emergency lights and sirens activated on his patrol car.

A short distance later the vehicle came to an abrupt stop in the middle of Wayne Street, a male exited the vehicle, fleeing on West Green street. After a brief foot pursuit officers apprehended Brian Cyr, 26, of Shenandoah. Officers found Cyr in possession of Methamphetamine, Oxycodone, and other illicit prescription medications, along with a large sum of cash.


Cyr faces numerous charges related to possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, attempting to flee or elude a Police Officer, driving a motor vehicle while operating privileges are suspended/revoked and multiple violations of the Pennsylvania motor vehicle code.
