Criminal Complaint Filed Charging Man for Baby's Death

A criminal complaint has been filed charging a man for the death of a baby in December.

On Saturday, December 27th, 2014, around 10pm, police were called to a home on Centre St., Ashland where a mother found her one year old daughter's body face down in her crib.  The mother was reportedly at work while her boyfriend cared for the baby and two other children.

On Wednesday, May 20th, a criminal complaint was filed charging Joseph Brennan, 29, for the child's death, according to District Attorney Christine Holman.

Reports say that Brennan had changed his story several times throughout the investigation and that he beat the child so badly that she died from her injuries.

According to court records, Brennan has been charged with 3rd degree murder, aggravated assault, involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of children, and other charges.
