Lehighton Man Charged with Shooting Bald Eagle

A Lehighton man was charged Wednesday with multiple charges for shooting a bald eagle near Andreas.

Carl Marion, 46, of Lehighton is the man the Pennsylvania Game Commission says is responsible for the shooting.

The shooting took place on April 22nd near Andreas on the Schuylkill/Carbon County line.

Marion was charged with one count of disturbance of wildlife and six counts of the unlawful taking of protected birds. Total fines and restitution could reach $3,900.
