Heavy Rain Expected Late Saturday Early Sunday

A flood watch was issued for Schuylkill County for this weekend.


The remnants of Tropical Storm Bill are expected to cross over Pennsylvania late Saturday early Sunday.

The National Weather Service has issued a "Flood Watch" for Schuylkill County ahead of the storm.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A

* FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA...INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS...ADAMS...CUMBERLAND...DAUPHIN... FRANKLIN...LANCASTER...LEBANON...PERRY...SCHUYLKILL AND YORK.

* FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING

* HEAVY RAINFALL FROM THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM BILL IS FORECAST TO MOVE ACROSS THE AREA ON SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE IN THE WATCH AREA. URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IS POSSIBLE. LARGER STREAMS AND RIVERS SHOULD REMAIN WITHIN THEIR BANKS.
