Knoebels Announces Activity-Filled Week of July 26 through August 1
Knoebels Amusement Resort will host its annual Summer Craft Fair July 28-31. The fair will take place in the park during hours of operation, 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. According to craft fair organizer Christopher Stine, vendors sell handmade items at the annual event.
“We’re excited to welcome Knoebels visitors to this year’s event, which will feature over 50 arts and crafts booths,” said Stine. “Some new vendors have joined us, and there are many returning vendors that have become favorites to visitors, such as one that will celebrate her 30thyear with us.”
Race fans can have some extra fun at Knoebels Amusement Resort on July 28 between noon and 6:00 p.m. The #24 Pepsi Show Car and race simulator will be located near Knoebels’ famous french fries and the Balloon Race ride.
On July 31 and August 1, visitors can meet the author and illustrator of Roaring Creek Rescue, the story of how Kozmo met Dexter. Lauren Muscato, fourth generation member of the Knoebel family, and illustrator Michael Tobin will be at Knoebels to sign the new book with special guests Kozmo and Dexter.
“It was really special to be able to work with illustrator Mike Tobin on this book since he designed the characters of Kozmo and Dexter as we know them today,” said Muscato. “He knows their personalities and their quirks, and how to really bring those qualities alive on the page.”
Join the crew in from of Alamo restaurant on July 31 at 3:30 and 7:00 p.m., and on August 1 at 11:30 a.m., 3:30 p.m. (Kozmo and Dexter not available) and 7:00 p.m. Books will be available for purchase at the signing and in several gift shops, and is also available for purchase on Amazon.com.
“I’m really looking forward to the book signing, meeting our guests and having the opportunity to share this story and our beloved characters,” added Muscato.
On July 30, Knoebels team members and their families will join together for the second annual “Dexter’s Dash” benefiting Make-A-Wish. The 5K run/1K walk will kick off at 9:00 a.m. at Tent 9/10.
