Recall Issued for Bells and Evans Chicken Nuggets

The Department of Argriculate Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a recall on Bells and Evans Chicken Nuggets after Staphylococcal enterotoxin was found in one of it's products.


The product in question is the 12 oz. retail box of Bell & Evans GLUTEN FREE Breaded Chicken Nuggets. The recalled product is marked as best by 03/25/2016 and has a UPC of 738985277291. The packages in question are marked with the production date of March 25, 2015.

The bacteria found will cause illness including food poisoning including symptoms of nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea; most patients recover after one to three day.

Cooking the food will not eliminate the bacteria.
