Joseph Dunckley, 39, was arrested after giving deputies a false name when they visited his home in the 1700 block of Mandeville Street, according to court documents. Dunckley was booked with unlawful presence of a sex offender and failure to register as a sex offender.
Dunckley was listed as a Tier III sex offender in Schuylkill County.
Authorities have been searching for Dunckley since January of 2014 when he failed to comply with registration requirements of the law of a sex offender.
He was from the Pine Grove area.
