North Schuylkill High School Closed Wednesday Due to Water Pipe Break

North Schuylkill High School will be closed Wednesday due to a water pipe break that took place Tuesday.

The hot water pipe break reportedly happened in a hallway ceiling near their Foreign Language Classrooms.  The break was contained to one area of the upper level.

Students and faculty were evacuated safely to the elementary school during the incident and were dismissed early.

Regarding Wednesday, transportation will still be provided to all North Schuylkill students attending other programs including North and South Vo-Tech, Nativity, and Gillingham. Those students should follow the alternate transportation schedule.

All Junior/Senior High School students and staff SHOULD NOT report to school.  Halloween window painting will be postponed to a later date.

The North Schuylkill Elementary building will be open and operate on a regular schedule.

Finally, if any student needs to pick up belongings left behind from today, the Jr./Sr. High School will be open tomorrow between 9am and 11am at the main lobby where they can meet an escort.
