Chase Damages Police Cruiser in Crash

A Shenandoah Police Officer was unharmed but the officer's police cruiser was severely damaged during a police chase Sunday evening.

According to the Republican Herald, a Shenandoah Police Officer attempted to do a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation when the driver fled.

A chase ensued and traveled along Route 54 out of Shenandoah towards Mahanoy City.

In the area of Blaschak's Coal Company, the suspect crashed into another vehicle, and that vehicle crashed into the Shenandoah Cruiser

No injuries were reported but the suspect was taken into custody.
