Man Leads Police in Chase That Ended Near Frackville

A police chase ended near Frackville Thursday morning.


According PaHomePage.com, around 8:30am Thursday,  Brian Stravinsky, of Ringtown, lead police in chase that started on Interstate 81 and ended on Morea Road in West Mahanoy Township near Frackville.

The chase started when police attempted to pull Stravinsky over for a traffic violation.

When police stopped Stravinsky near Frackville he had struck another vehicle.

Morea Road was closed for almost 4 hours while the scene was investigated.

Stravinsky was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi on charges of fleeing and attempting to elude police, DUI, recklessly endangering another person, resisting arrest, driving with a blood alcohol level greater than .02 with license suspended, among other traffic violations.

He was sent to Schuylkill County Prison unable to post bail.  A preliminary hearing is set for January 14, 2016.
