Knoebels Schedules Job Fair for Their 90th Season

Elysburg, PA – It all started with the Crystal Pool, a steam-powered carousel, and a few food stands. Now, after nearly 90 years, Knoebels Amusement Resort has grown to include 63 rides, 35 unique food stands, and a plethora of gift shops, games and attractions. This means that Knoebels needs more team members than ever. With this being the case, Knoebels hopes to find a large portion of its roughly 800 new seasonal team members at its March 5 job fair. Team members 16 years of age and older can expect a starting hourly rate that is above minimum wage.

Knoebels Amusement Resort will host its annual job fair on Saturday, March 5 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Elysburg Fire Department. Those who attend can chat with representatives from each department, fill out an application and schedule an interview. Those who are interested in joining the Knoebels team can also begin searching for open positions and complete an application at www.knoebels.com/jobs.

According to Jon Anderson, Knoebels’ Human Resources Director, the company is excited to be able to offer a competitive wage for both new and returning team members.

“The majority of team members joining us for our 90th anniversary season can expect their starting hourly rate to be above minimum wage,” said Anderson. “Specific pay rates vary upon job function, and team members can qualify for a raise each returning season, as well as a number of other perks.”

In addition to a regular paycheck, Knoebels offers other added benefits for team members such as exclusive employee events, a park exchange program which allows employees to visit a number of other parks free of charge, and tickets and food coupons for select weeks. School aged team members are also encouraged to apply for Knoebels’ scholarship program.

“We have a wide variety of job types available, the majority of which interact directly with our customers,” added Anderson. “So we’re looking forward to hiring team members with a positive, upbeat personality, who can help us ensure our customers are absolutely enjoying their visit to Knoebels.”

While Knoebels is primarily seeking team members aged 16 and older, there are a limited number of positions available for workers aged 14 and 15. School aged workers are required to have working papers when hired.
