Around 1:30pm Friday, emergency personnel were called to EOJ Inc., a mining site located on East Bacon Street near Palo Alto for a fire.
The fire was reported to have been on an excavator and the man who was operating it was severely injured.
The man was flown to an area hospital where they were listed in critical condition.
