Crews Battle Fire in Shenandoah Wednesday Evening

Around 7:00pm, fire crews were called to 508 West Vernon Street, Shenandoah for a working structure fire.

Originally the call came over as entrapment but that was found to be negative.

Crews battled the fire for nearly 30 minutes before getting it under control,

The second alarm fired called in units from Shenandoah, Shenandoah Heights, Ringtown, Englewood, Mahanoy City, and Nuremberg.

The homes at 508 and 510 were both destroyed, but no word on the number of victims affected at this time.
