Man Facing Burglary Charges

On April 6, 2016, Frackville Borough Police arraigned James Robert Brown of Scranton on charges related to burglary. 

Borough police were dispatched to the 200 block North Broad Mt. Ave for a breaking and entering in progress. 

When police arrived on scene Brown was located in the back yard of a residence and taken into custody. 

A short investigation revealed that Brown knocked on the front door of a residence and then walked away. Brown then came back to the residence and kicked the basement door in gaining access to the residence. Brown entered the kitchen area of the residence from the basement stairs and was met by the homeowner. 

After being chased out of the home by the owner Brown ran to the back yard where he was met by police. 

Brown was charged with Burglary, Criminal Trespass and Criminal Mischief. Brown was arraigned and was unable to post $25,000 straight cash bail and was committed to the Schuylkill County Prison. 

Brown will have to answer to the above charges before Magisterial District Judge Hale, Frackville
