The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Schuylkill County and others for Saturday, April 9th, 2016.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 7 PM EDT SATURDAY...


THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STATE COLLEGE HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 7 PM EDT SATURDAY.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...2 INCHES VALLEYS TO 5 INCHES RIDGETOPS.


* TIMING...MOST INTENSE SNOW FROM 3 AM TO NOON SATURDAY. PEAK WIND GUSTS FROM 10 AM TO 5 PM SATURDAY.

* IMPACTS...DIFFICULT TRAVEL AND REDUCED SPEEDS ON SNOW COVERED ROADS. REDUCED VISIBILITY IN SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* WINDS...BECOMING NORTHWEST SATURDAY AFTERNOON 15-20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.
