HARRISBURG – The 2016 PIAA Class A softball champions were recognized by local legislators at the state Capitol on Monday.
The Williams Valley softball team, which captured the state title earlier this month, was formally introduced in the Senate and House of Representatives during their visit.
Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks) congratulated them on their tremendous season during Senate session.
“As the father of two children who played high school sports, I remember how much time it takes for not just practices and games, but the time involved for the students, managers, coaches and parents. It takes a true team effort to reach this level of achievement,” Argall said.
You can watch Argall’s remarks here. Argall was joined by Senator Rob Teplitz (D-Dauphin/Perry), who also represents a part of Williams Valley School District.
