Man Charged for Setting Shenandoah Fire

A Shenandoah man has been charged with setting a fire in Shenandoah last week.

According to Shenandoah Police, John Curley, 53, of Shenandoah has been charged by the Pennsylvania State Police with setting the fire that took place on July 7th, 2016 on South Market Street.

Curley reportedly admitted to setting garbage on fire near the garage of the home.

Curley has been charged with 5 counts of Arson and related offenses, Causing and risking a catastrophe and recklessly endangering another person.

Curley is already in Carbon County Prison for allegedly setting a vehicle on fire in Lansford.

Arraignment is scheduled for July 15, 2016.
