CAPTURED: Man Wanted for Holding Woman and Child Captive Captured Wednesday

A man wanted for holding a woman and child captive has been captured.


According to sources, Christopher Benjamin, 34, was captured Wednesday in the area of Raven Run in West Mahanoy Township.


According to Pennsylvania State Police, a 31 year old woman and her 4 year old child were held captive in a wooded area in West Mahanoy Township by Benjamin over a few days in August.

Benjamin reportedly beat the woman and threatened the woman's life if she left the woods.

The woman reportedly managed to reach a road and get help from neighbors.

Benjamin is wanted on aggravated assault charges.
A felony warrant is currently out for Benjamin.
