Katie Rothermel, 91, of Harleysville, PA, formerly of Warminster, PA and Pitman, PA passed away Friday, September 30th, at Peter Becker Community .

Katie was born in Klingerstown, PA on March 26, 1925, a daughter of the late Lottie (Reiner) and Charles A. Fetterolf.

She was the widow of Stanley Rothermel who passed away March 12, 2015.

She attended the Fetterolf School and graduated from the Hegins Township High School in 1943.

Katie enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved taking care of her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters Rhonda Rothermel, Susan Baker (Merrit) and Kristine Perry (Bob); a grandson Todd Rothermel (Kris Ann) that she raised; 7 Grandchildren: Daniel Rhoades, Travis Rhoades, Allison MacWade, Kyle MacWade, Meredith Baker Colelli, Jonathan Perry, and Shawn Perry: 4 now 5 Great-Grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Kimmel.

Katie was preceded in death by a son Randall Rothermel, a brother, Mark Fetterolf and 5 sisters, Pauline Masser, Mae Fetterolf, Iva Saltzman, Anna Specht Baker and Elda Kehler.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, 4, 2016 October at 11:00 AM at the Stephen R. Rothermel Funeral Home, 1133 Ridge Rd, Klingerstown, PA, with Rev. Mark Rothermel officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery Klingerstown, PA.

Peter F. Debuski, formerly of 7 Lower Street, Morea, Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, died on September 30, 2016.

Born in Morea, Pennsylvania on January 12, 1925, he was a son of the late John and Julia Kotch Debuski. He was a 1943 graduate of Mahanoy Township High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, spending three years overseas before his honorable discharge as yeoman first class in 1946. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion, serving as a past Commander of its Frackville Post.

He was married for twenty eight years to the former Ann M. Beneshunas, who proceeded him in death in August, 1982.

He retired from his job as the chief accountant with Penn Square Mutual Fund in Reading, PA in 1989. After living many years in Wyomissing Hills, PA, he returned to live most of the rest of his life in his family home in Morea. He most recently lived three years in Shrewsbury, PA before moving to Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

Peter was preceded in death by four brothers, Stephen, Andrew, John and Michael, two sisters, Mary Antalosky and Ann Richter, as well as infant sisters Florence, Helen, and Julia. Surviving are two sisters, Vera Chisick of Shenandoah and Margaret Horbacz, of Colonia, NJ. Also surviving are his three children, Patricia Meister of Exton, PA, Charity Greene of Sandy, Utah, and John Debuski of New Freedom, PA as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory, Mahanoy City on Tuesday, October 4, from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday October 5, from 9am.

Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 11am on Wednesday, Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Mahanoy City, with Father James Carroll Officiating, followed by interment in the parish cemetery.

Family prefers donations be made in his name to Misericordia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 998 South Russell Street, York PA.
