Man Charged With Murder for Kline Township Shooting

Late Thursday, Police made an arrest for a shooting that occurred Tuesday.

According to Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, around 9:30 am, police were called to a reported shooting on James Street, Kline Township, near McAdoo.

Upon arrival police found David Gombert, 27, of Hazle Township,  shot and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Also at the scene was Eric Mumaw, 29, of Kline Township.

Police say both were involved in an altercation when a gun was discharged killing Gombert and injuring Mumaw.

Mumaw's injuries were non-life threatening and he was treated.

Late Tuesday, Police took Mumaw into custody and charged him with 3rd Degree Murder and other charges.  He was arraigned before on-call Magisterial District Judge David A. Plachko and was locked up in Schuylkill County Prison.  He was also denied bail.
