Woman Facing Harrassment Charges After Threatening to Burn a House Down

The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating an incident that occurred Saturday, November 12th, 2016 around 4:45pm.

Police say Chrystal Filer, 51, of New Philadelphia allegedly told another woman, Dorthy Thorne, 49, also of New Philadelphia that she was going to burn her house down

After an investigation, Harassment charges have been filed against Filer.

Man Charged with Failing to Report a Crash

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on Friday, November 11th, 2016 around 11:30am, Corey Fritz, of Marietta, was travelling west on Route 209 east of Tuscarora when for an unknown reason struck a guardrail causing his vehicle to flip several times.

Police say Fritz left the scene of the crash and wasn't found until Saturday morning in Tamaqua.

Fritz has been charges will failure to report an accident to Police

Frackville Borough Not Enforcing Parking Meters Starting November 20th

Borough Police would like to advise residents that police will not be enforcing parking meters starting November 20,2016 until January 2, 2017 due to the holiday season!!

Man Facing DUI Charges

Frackville Borough Police have filed DUI charges against Petar Pavlovski of St. Clair from a DUI checkpoint conducted by borough police on September 2, 2016. Pavlovski was charged with one count of DUI high rate and one count of DUI Incapable of safe driving. Pavlovski will have to answer to the above charges before Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, Frackville.

Frackville Borough Police have filed DUI charges against Tammy Evans of Girardville from a DUI checkpoint conducted by borough police on September 2, 2016. Evans was charged with one count of DUI and one count of DUI Incapable of safe driving. Evans will have to answer to the above charges before Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale, Frackville.

Police Investigating Burglary

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are investigating a burglary that occurred on Mulberry Street, Tuscarora.

According to Police, someone broke into a garage and removed a red gas powered weed whacker.  The incident reportedly occurred between 11/8/16 and 11/11/16.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the State Police at (570) 874-5300.

Men Facing Retail Theft Charges

Frackville Borough Police have filed charges against Richard Arrigo Jr and Allen George both from an incident from October 13,2016.

According to Police, Borough police were stopped while on patrol about an incident that had occurred at Boyer's. During the investigation, Arrigo and George were both identified. Both Arrigo and George were charged with one count of retail theft. Both must answer to the above charges to Magisterial District Judge Hale, Frackville.

Man Facing Assault Charges After Domestic Incident

Frackville Borough Police have filed charges on Andrew Bobyak, of Frackville, from an incident on October 29, 2016. Officers were called for a domestic that had just occurred. During the investigation, it was found Bobyak had caused visible injury to another person. Bobyak was charged with two counts of simple assault, one count of recklessly endangering another person, one count disorderly conduct, and one count of harassment. Bobyak must answer to the above charges to MDJ Hale, Frackville
