LCCC Nurse Aide Job Training information Session

(12/07/16) A free information session will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 5 p.m., for the Nurse Aide program now offered at Lehigh Carbon Community College’s (LCCC) Morgan Center.
Students will receive career training for employment in skilled occupations through the Pennsylvania’s Advanced Training and Hiring (PATH) program, in addition to the services of a career coach and job developer dedicated to supporting student success and employment readiness. Class begins Jan. 30 at LCCC Tamaqua, 234 High Street.

The Nurse Aide Certificate program prepares students for eligibility to take the PA Certification exam and be placed on the PA State Nurse Aide registry. It provides the necessary hands-on clinical experience for those seeking a career as a nurse’s aide and related subjects, including medical terminology, infection control and functions of human body systems, as well as the legal and ethical standards of healthcare, residents’ rights and required nursing skills.

The information session will cover and provide forms for the prospective student to acquire background clearance, health screening and TB testing, which are required before registering for the program. Contact Mary at 610-799-1957 for any questions or to reserve your spot. Walk-ins are welcomed.
