David R. Houser, 72 years of age of Tamaqua, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017, at St. Luke's Miners Memorial in Coaldale.

Widower of Maxine J. (Fulton) Houser who passed away on August 26, 2016. He is survived by; sons, Matthew D. Houser, Michael J. Houser and his fiancée Jael Sullivan; sister, Mrs. Linda Novack wife of Daniel; grandchildren, Baylee, Brielle, and Rowan all of Tamaqua.

David was a member of the Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, and the Keystone Hunt & Fish Club both in Tamaqua.

David worked for the former Fauzio Brothers Striping & Hauling Company as a welder and then worked for Bethlehem Mines, and Lehigh Coal & Navigation of Coaldale until retiring.

Born Sunday, December 24, 1944 in Tamaqua, the son of the late Herman L., and Margaret (FerkeL) Houser.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 13, 2017 at 11 o'clock A.M., Vicar White to officiate. Friends shall be received at the funeral home on the morning of from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Private Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.

Nancy Stoffan, 86, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Saturday, January 7th, peacefully, at the home of her daughter Diane in Bethlehem.

Nancy was born in Park Place, PA on July 18, 1930, a daughter of the late Anastasia (Gawra) and Wassil Barna.

She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church Mahanoy City.

Nancy had graduated from Mahanoy Township High School

Nancy had worked at the former Eagle Brothers Shirt Factory.

She was a member of the Golden Age Club as well as the Mahanoy City Senior Citizens.

She was wife of the late Stephen Stoffan who passed away in 1979.

Nancy is survived by a daughter, Diane Kocsis wife of Gary, of Bethlehem, two sons Mark, of Mahanoy City; John, of Mahanoy City; also by 3 Grandchildren Jenna, Alaina, and Diana.

She is preceded in death by brothers Wassil, Michael and Frederick Barna, and sisters Mary Barna, and Anna Falatovich.

Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Mahanoy City, at 10 AM on Thursday, January 12th, with Rev. James Carroll officiating.

Friends may call Wednesday 6 to 8 PM and Thursday 9 AM at St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery Mahanoy City, PA.

Family prefers donations to St Marys Church or Mass requests for her intentions would be appreciated.
