Vehicle Flips in Interstate 81 Crash Monday Afternoon

Just after 1:30pm, Monday afternoon, emergency personnel were called to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 81.


According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, around 1:40pm, a vehicle driven by Juan Mateo Andujar, 28, of Hazleton, was traveling north on Interstate 81 near Milemarker 136.9, in Kline Township.

Andujar was traveling in the left lane traveling at approximately 70mph and failed to make a right turn in the road way.

The vehicle went off the highway hitting an embankment flipping the vehicle onto it's roof.

Andujar was reported to have suffered minor injuries and was taken by McAdoo ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hazleton for evaluation.

Assisting at the scen were the McAdoo Fire Department and EMS.
