Babe Ruth League Offering Additional Youth Baseball Opportunities in Northern Schuylkill County

A new Babe Ruth Youth Baseball league has formed in Northern Schuylkill County.


Ashland Babe Ruth League has been formed to provide young athletes that live north of Interstate 81 from Mahanoy City, Gilberton, Shenandoah, Ringtown, Frackville, Girardville, Aristes, Wilberton 1 and 2, Mt. Carmel, Lavelle, Gordon, and Ashland additional opportunities to enjoy the great sport of baseball!







The league will be separated into 3 division

  • Age 13/Prep-  Where age 13 year old will only play on teams with other 13 year olds
  • Age 13-15 Division
  • Age 16-18 Division

Babe Ruth League follows Basic Rules of Major League Baseball except for local league options that might include Pitching Limitations, substitution, Dual participation, 10 run rule, time limits, extra player, league playoff’s!

Babe Ruth Baseball provides for tournament competition at the District, State, Regional and WORLD SERIES LEVELS for 13/prep, 13-14, 13-15, and 16-18 divisions!!!

The league is also looking for coaches with the following criteria
  • Coaching Certification Mandatory for all Coaches
  • All league Personnel must have Background Checks 
Player Eligibility (requirements)
  • Proof of age
  • Lives in geographical boundaries
  • May 1st is age cutoff date
