Woman Charged with Retail Theft

ASHLAND - An Ashland woman was charged with retail theft after an incident.

According to Police, Patrolman Philip Schlegel filed charged on Sheila Fishburn in reference to an incident that occurred at Smokin Joe's Tobacco Shop, 706 W. Centre Street, Ashland on February 21, 2017 around 8:30am.

Police say that Fishburn entered Smokin Joe's and a noticed that she took possession of a pack of grape flavor Criss Cross Cigars valued at $1.26.  The cleark, knowing that Fishburn is not permitted to be in the store due to prior issues, stated that Fishburn started to become dispruptive and told the clerk that she was going to pay for the cigars and would then leave.

The clerk then told Fishburn that she needed to pay for the items and not return to the store.

Fishburn then became disruptive and argumentative, then left the store without paying for the cigars.

As a result, Patrolman Schlegel filed charges of retail theft and criminal trespass on Fishburn through Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale's office.

Woman Taken Into Custody During Traffic Stop on Warrant

SAINT CLAIR - Brittany Marie George was taken into custody on a felony arrest warrant following a traffic stop Tuesday night in the borough. George was wanted by Minersville Police Department for felony drug delivery.
