Winter Storm Watch Issued for Late Wednesday into Thursday

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Late Wednesday into Thursday.

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in STATE COLLEGE has issued a Winter
Storm Watch...which is in effect from Wednesday evening through
Thursday morning.

* LOCATIONS...Central and Southern Mountains and the Susquehanna
Valley.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...4 to 8 inches.

* TIMING...Snow will begin over the central mountains early
Wednesday evening. Rain and snow will begin early Wednesday
evening over the Lower Susquehanna Valley, with a changeover to
all snow between 10 pm and 2 am. A period of heavy snow is
likely late evening into the overnight.

* IMPACTS...The heavy snow will create snow covered roads and
produce scattered power outages.

This watch includes the counties of 

Huntingdon-Mifflin-Juniata-Fulton-Franklin-Union-Snyder-Montour-
Northumberland-Columbia-Perry-Dauphin-Schuylkill-Lebanon-
Cumberland-Adams-York-Lancaster-
INCLUDING THE CITIES OF Huntingdon, Mount Union, Lewistown,
Mifflintown, McConnellsburg, Chambersburg, Lewisburg,
Selinsgrove, Danville, Sunbury, Shamokin, Bloomsburg, Berwick,
Newport, Harrisburg, Hershey, Pottsville, Lebanon, Carlisle,
Gettysburg, York, and Lancaster
