Parishioners of the Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon, along with other area churches observed the Good Friday tradition with a cross walk.
Jeffery Nemeth portrayed Jesus carrying the cross along with two Roman Soldiers through the 1 mile walk, while citizens followed on behind praying.
The walk has been a tradition in Gordon for over 40 years.
