Man Violates PFA Order
On Sunday, around 5:30pm, Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville responded to 720 Centre Street for a Protection from Abuse Violation.
Police say Kenneth Williams, 39, of Ashland, violated a court ordered PFA by living at the residence of his wife, Genecia Williams, 38, knowing he was not to do so.
Indirect criminal contempt charges were filed against Kenneth Williams.
Williams was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge Stephen Bayer and given $10,000 unsecured bail and released.
Man Facing DUI Charges
On Sunday, April 23, 2017 the Orwigsburg Borough Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1000 Block W. Market Street for committing a series of traffic violations.
The operator of the vehicle, Brent Markus, was found to be manifestly under the influence of alcoholic beverages to the degree which he was incapable of safely operating a vehicle upon a highway.
Markus was transported to LVHN-Schuylkill South for a chemical test of blood.
Pending the receipt of the chemical test results, charges for DUI and corresponding summary traffic violations will be filed.
