Leo Allen Zavitsky, 69 years of age of Coaldale, Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Luke's University Hospital Bethlehem.

Surviving are sons, Leo Allen Zavitsky, Jr. and his companion Kate of Coaldale; Luckey A. Zavitsky and his wife Mallory of Myerstown; daughter, Mary Ann Seip wife of David, Jr. of Hellertown; brother, Joseph Zavitsky of Warminster; grandchildren, Jessica, David and his wife Allison, Lewie, Jr., and Leland; great grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, and Maria.

Leo was an Auto Body Technician by trade. He liked to fish and spend time with his family.

Born Tuesday, January 27, 1948 in Scranton, son of the late Alex, and Dorothy (Dietrich) Zavitsky. He was also predeceased by his wife, Mary Ann (Hartner) Zavitsky on August 28, 2016; son, Lewie A. Zavitsky on August 3, 2009; brothers, Alex, and Pauley Zavitsky; sister, Mrs. Dorothy Griffin.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252. (570) 668-2550.

A Funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock AM on Wednesday May 31. 2017 from the funeral home. Friends shall be received on the morning of services from 9:30 A.M. until time of services.

Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

Sophie Marie Novack, 89, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Tuesday at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.

Born in Schuylkill Haven, Aug. 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Gresko Lipinsky.

Sophie was married to the late John S. Novack, who passed away in 1987.

Sophie loved polka and going to the dance halls. She loved hanging out at the local clubs and talking to everyone. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff of Seton Manor.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Helen Miller, Stella Yarrish, Edward Lipinsky and two infant siblings.

She is survived by her children, John A. Novack and wife, Melissa Levan, Schuylkill Haven, and Mary Ann Romberger and husband, John, Oak Park, Ill.; grandchildren, April Romberger Brislen, Oak Park, Benjamin Romberger, California, and Eric Kiefer, Schuylkill Haven; great-grandchildren, Aiden Brislen and William Romberger; brothers, John, Walter and Constantine "Custy" Lipinsky; sister, Jean Mintz; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. June 3 at St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m. in the chapel. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. At the family's request, memorial donations in Sophie's memory may be sent to Alzheimers Association  , South Central PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
