Doris F. Lonergan, age 89, of Pottsville, PA passed away Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Health Network, East in Pottsville. Born in Pottsville, PA on March 9, 1928, she was the daughter of the late George and Margaret (Beresky) Yost. Doris was a graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School, Class of 1945. She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville and the former Catholic War Vets in Pottsville. She was the last member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 54 years, Edward M. "Moe" Lonergan on December 15, 2008, a son Edward G. Lonergan, and 2 brothers: Edward and Phillip Yost. Doris is survived by 3 daughters: Debra Ann Lonergan, North Wales, PA, Eileen Marie Edling and her husband David, Boyertown, PA, and Lisa Mullin and her husband Dean, Pottsville, PA; a son Mark J. Lonergan, Lake Wynonah, PA; 6 grandchildren: Liza, Edward, Christie, Emily, Reiley, and Brendan; and nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Pottsville at 11AM on Monday, July 3rd, 2017. Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Monday morning from 10-11AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Interment will be held in the Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in Pottsville. The Robert A Evans Jr Funeral Home 208 Pike St. Port Carbon is in charge of arrangements. Michelle L. Ohl, 39 years of age of North Columbia Street, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospice in Bethlehem with her family by her side. Michelle had fought a courageous battle against cancer.

Born Sunday, January 29, 1978 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry L. Ohl and Marlene (Miller) Ohl of Owl Creek Road Tamaqua. She is also survived by her brother, Jeff and his wife Amy; her nephew Colton who deeply loved his aunt "Shelly", and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also survive her.

A 1996 Tamaqua Area High School graduate, Michelle attended L.C.C.C. and then matriculated to Bloomsburg University graduating with a B.S. in Sociology & Criminology. She worked for Access Services as a T.S.S. counselor in their Weissport Center.

Michelle, enjoyed traveling and trips to the beach. She was a member of the Tamaqua Pool League, and adored all animals, especially her dog Patches, and cat, Gus.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, Pennsylvania 18252.

The family will receive friends on July 5 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00P.M. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Francis J. Bercher, 84, of Pottsville passed away Thursday evening at his residence.

Born May 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Harry and Alberta (Bercher) Weber.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist RC Church, Pottsville. He was also a member of Seltzer and Big Hill Gun Club.

Francis retired from Allied Chemical as a machine operator.

He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing, and trips to the cabin. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren.

He proudly served his country, in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia A. (Caldas) Bercher (2013).

He is survived by his son, Joseph F. Bercher; daughters, Donna M. Bercher and Lisa M, Bercher; grandchildren, Vanessa Bercher, Carissa Bercher, Jake McClure, and Justin McClure; great grandson, Luke Bercher.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11AM on Friday, July 7, 2017 at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 913 Mahantongo St, Pottsville, Rev. David Loeper, officiating. Family and friends may call Thursday evening 6:00PM til 8:00PM and Friday morning 9:30AM-10:30AM at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Interment will follow with Military Honors in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Pottsville.
