Ashland Holds First Annual Night Out

On Friday night, the borough of Ashland came together to celebrate a night out.

The Ashland Community Watch held it's first annual Night Out at the American Legion located at 5th and Centre Street in the borough.

The event was organized to help the families familiarize themselves better with the community's organizations.

Organizations at the event include the members and apparatus from the American Hose Company and Washington Hook and Ladder, law enforcement members and vehicles from the Ashland Police Department and Sheriff's Office, a K-9 demonstration by the West Penn Police Department Chief Brian Johnson and Gunner, Boys Scouts, American Red Cross, and the Ashland Community Watch.

The Ashland Historical Society also had the borough's old jail open for viewing as well as the old borough hall which is being restored.
