Lewis A. Boyer, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Seton Manor in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania.

The widower of Alice (Erdman) Boyer who passed away on July 25, 2002, Lewiw is survived by his daughters whom he adored; Dr. Cynthia L. Boyer of Voorhees, NJ and Betsy A. (Boyer) Paisley wife of Chris of Tamaqua; beloved grandchildren, Jaime, Jennifer, and Emily; great grand daughters, Madelyn, Mia, Isabella, Ave, Chloe, Caylee, and Aubry.

Born Sunday, October 7, 1928 in Tamaqua, Pennsylvania. the son of the late Irvin, and Bertha (Herron) Boyer. Lewie was also predeceased by; sisters, Mrs. Gladys McDonald, Mrs. Helen Marks, and Mrs. Flossie E. Hoppes; brothers, William, and LeRoy Boyer.

A Tamaqua High School graduate, Lewie served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. Returning home he worked for Continental Can in Reading, Pennsylvania.

A member of the American Hose Fire Company, Lewie, was the first lifetime member of the Keystone Hunt & Fish Club of Tamaqua. Lewie, spent many hunting seasons at Baddicks Cabin on the Tuscarora Mountain. He was a coin collector and taught himself to cane chairs in retirement. Lewie was an avid sports fan.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 o'clock A.M. in Wednesday September 6, 2017 from the funeral home. Friends shall be received on Tuseday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 P.M., and on the morning of services from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.

Interment with Military Honors will take place at Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.

John F. Minarick, 82, of Pottsville died Friday September 1, 2017 at home.

Born August 1, 1935 in St. Clair, he was the son of the late Andrew and Margaret (Melconich) Minarick.

He was a member of the former Mary Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and a current member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. He retired from STS where he was employed as a mechanic.

John is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Dolores M. McGovern, Pottsville; daughters Kathleen Salam wife of Nate, Wilmington, DE; and Jacqueline Minarick, Pottsville. He is also survived by a granddaughter Lucy Salam, Wilmington, DE; and several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11o’clock Wednesday September 6 at St. Patrick RC Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10:30 until the time of Mass. Interment will be held in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside.

The family would prefer donations be made to the Hillside SPCA 51 SPCA Road Pottsville PA 17901.
