Mary Lou Zaborsky, 66, originally of Mahanoy City, died Friday evening at her home in Temple Hills Maryland.

She was born August 9th, 1951, the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence P. (Peel) Zaborsky

She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic grade school, and graduated from Mahanoy City Area High School in 1970.

Mary worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigations, Washington DC and was also the manager for Marlow Heights Bookstore in Maryland for over 20 years.

She attended St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church.

Mary is survived by her Brothers Joseph, husband of Venetta Aurora Colorado, David, husband of Annette, Kutztown, and Sisters Annette wife of Jake Devitt, Pottsville, Kathleen wife of Richard Las Vegas Nevada, and Donna Marie and her companion John Barna Quakake, one niece and six nephews.

Mary is also survived by her friend James Godbee, Temple Hills MD and her dog Vanessa.

Friends may call Monday September 11th, 2017 at the Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Mahanoy City from 9am to 11am. A memorial service will take place at 11am at the funeral home with Deacon Dave Henninger officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Victoria “Vicki” Slatick, 77, of Mahanoy City, PA, passed away Saturday, September 2nd, at Shenandoah Senior Living Community, Shenandoah.

Vicki was born in Mahanoy City, PA on September 6, 1939, a daughter of the late Helen (Recklitis) and Walter Bugdanewicz.

She was a member of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish Mahanoy City.

Vicki worked as Nurses Aid at the former Locust Mountain and Broad Mountain Manor. She also worked for many years at the Mahanoy City Cigar Factory, and the Mahanoy City Rite Aide.

She was the wife of Andrew "Butch" Slatick.

Vicki is survived by a daughter, Diane, wife of William Neiswender, of Shenandoah;
three sons Vincent, husband of Stephanie Forte, of Minersville; Robert, husband of Harriet Forte, of Mahanoy City; Nicholas Forte, of Mahanoy City; and by three brothers, Andrew "Andy" Buganavage, of Tamaqua; Walter Jr. Buganavage, of Pottsville; Vincent "Billy" Recklitis, of Shenandoah, and 8 Grandchildren, and 3 Step Grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Mahanoy City, PA, at 10 am on Friday, September 8th, with Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher officiating.

Eleanor L. “Nook” Aubrey, 90, of Andreas, Pa. died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 in the Weatherwood Health Care and Rehab. Center, Weatherly, Pa.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert H. Aubrey in 1996.

She was born in Tamaqua, a daughter of the late Thomas and Bertha (Frederickson) Neifert. Eleanor was employed as a factory worker for the former Argo Knitting Mill, Orwigsburg, Pa and the former Rohrer’s Knitting Mill, New Ringgold, until retiring in 1965.

Later she and her husband co-owned the Aubrey Vending Co. of Andreas, until 1992. She was a member of the Tamaqua Legion, Post # 173, Auxiliary.

Survivors includes several nieces and nephews. Eleanor was the last survivor of 11 siblings.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Robert S. Nester Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 2066 West Penn Pike, New Ringgold, Pa. 17960, with a calling hour beginning at 10:00 AM. Rev. Marjorie Keiter will officiate
