Police Investigating Criminal Mischief in Gilberton

The Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville are conducting an investigation of criminal mischief in the 200 Block of Growler Street in Gilberton. Sometime between late Monday and early Tuesday, someone damaged the front of a trailer with a blunt object while it was parked.  The suspect(s) then fled the scene in an unknown direction and left the scene undetected.

Vermont Man Found to be Transporting Narcotics After Traffic Stop

According to the Pennsylvania State Police on Frackville, on Monday (09/25/17) around 5:00pm during a routine traffic stop, police encountered a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed with New York Registration traveling southbound in Delano Twp.

A traffic stop was conducted at that time and upon interacting with the driver, police had reason to believe criminal activity was taking place.

During the course of investigation, it was determined that the driver, John Darling, 46, of Arlington, VT was carrying various narcotics within the vehicle while traveling from Vermont to Virginia.

Darling was taken into custody at that time and summarily arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker.

Darling was charged with Possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other traffic charges.

Darling was released on $25,000 unsecured bail.
