Blue Mountain Middle School Receives Another Bomb Threat on Monday Morning

On Monday morning, the Blue Mountain Middle School, Orwigsburg, received their second threat in a week's time.

According to an announcement made to parents Monday morning,

The Middle School is currently in lockdown due to a bomb threat. All students and staff have been safely evacuated from the building and the police are currently onsite. As soon as more information becomes available, we will send out another notice.

All Students and Staff are Safe.

Around 11:30am, parents received a message that students and staff were back in class

Update: The students and staff have safely returned to the building; they will follow a modified schedule including being served lunch.

Local and state police worked with us to sweep the building and ensure the safety of our students and staff.

Again we’re asking all parents to speak with their son/daughter regarding the seriousness of making these types of threats and the resulting severe consequences.

We will continue to try to educate our students regarding the seriousness of these types of threats. Thank you for your cooperation.

We'll have more details when they are available.
