Dennis Setlock, age 71, of Port Carbon, PA passed away Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at his home.

Born in Pottsville, PA on July 27, 2017, he was the son of the late Peter F. and Dorothy A. (Griffin) Setlock.

Dennis was a retired roofer, who worked for Local 30 and 30B out of Shoemakersville, PA.

He was an avid runner and weightlifter, who also loved boxing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter Kelly Setlock, a son Dennis Shaw, 4 brothers: Russell, Paul, Jerome, and Peter Setlock, and 2 sisters: Severine Prock and Sheila Mosier.

Dennis is survived by 3 daughters: Rose Erin Setlock, Cheryl Ann Bodogh, and Jill Hosler; 3 sons: Jason, Josh, and Ryan Setlock; 10 grandchildren: Gary Marx, Samantha Wise, Brianna Bodogh, Wyatt and Molly Hosler, Josh Setlock Jr., Sylis Setlock, Aubrey, and Harper Setlock, and Avion Robbins; 3 brothers: Donald, Dale, and Patrick Setlock; 4 sisters: Shirley Kulikosky, Sylvia Kostura, Sharon Reeves, and Sandra Setlock; and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Robert A. Evans Jr. Funeral Home 208 Pike St., Port Carbon at 7:30PM on Wednesday, November 1st, with Pastor David Fury officiating.

Relatives and Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday evening from 5:30-7:30PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be held private in the St. Casimir's Cemetery in Port Carbon.

Judith A. Gavenas, 71, of Hegins, passed away Monday at home.

Born in Pottsville, Aug. 28, 1946, she was a daughter of the late George F. Jr. and Martha A. Hepler Lord.

She was the wife of Charles J. Gavenas.

Judith was a graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Class of 1964.

She had worked as the manager of the Market Square Apartments and the secretary for the Yuengling Mansion.

In addition to her husband, Judith is also survived by a daughter, Kimberly Gavenas and her significant other, Ross Antalosky, Hegins; granddaughter, Aubrey; a sister, Jean Lord and her husband, George Lord, Jalappa; two brothers, George F. Lord III, Missouri, and John Lord, Virginia; best friend, Lulu Evans, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with certified celebrant Rebecca Devlin officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be privately held at the family's convenience.

James T. Reese, 71, of Summit Station, died Tuesday morning at home.

Born in Queens, New York, he was the son of the late James and Mary Mahoney Reese. He grew up in Shenandoah, and was a 1963 graduate of J.W. Cooper High School. He attended Rutgers University.

Jim first developed an interest in food service while working in his family’s Jardin Street restaurant in Shenandoah, the former Reese’s Luncheonette. He was employed by Canteen Corporation as the Director of Dining Services, working in corporate cafeterias, including AT&T and Gilbert Associates, both in Reading. He established “A Personal Touch Catering” in 1990, providing both banquet service at his facility in Summit Station, as well as off-site catering service. He retired in 2014.

Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Schlottman; three children, Dr. James Reese and his wife, Candace, Madison Heights, Virginia, Kimberly Cummings, Pottsville, and Kelly Reese, Montandon; three stepchildren, Michelle Schwartz and her companion, Joe Pablone, Antietam, Brian Keller, Kutztown, and Jayme Yeager and her husband, Allen, Hyde Park; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Sarah “Sally” Reese-Carter and her husband, Anthony, Baltimore, and Nancy Bradell and her husband, Jack, Totowa, New Jersey; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. from Dutcavich Funeral Home, 200 Sunbury St., Minersville. Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 6:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be private.

Jane Lenker Wenrich, 61, of Orwin, passed away Tuesday morning at her home.

Born in Orwin, January 24, 1956, a daughter of the late William and Marion Koppenhaver Lenker.

Jane was a 1973 graduate of Williams Valley High School and 1975 graduate of Empire Beauty School.

Jane was a dedicated beautician in the Williams Valley community, where she owned and operated her own business for over forty years, Jane Wenrich Beauty Salon.

She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton and the Orwin Gun Club. Jane also served on the board for the St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin, and had been very active with the Williams Valley Football Boosters.

Jane will be remembered as a woman of action, she was a dedicated caretaker not only to family, but anyone in need. Her family and her friends were her life.

She is survived by husband of 40 years, Randy Wenrich; three children, Leslie Wenrich, Reading; Broc Wenrich, Wilkes-Barre and Lynda Wenrich, South Carolina; two grandchildren she adored, Helayna and Lyza; two sisters, Laurie Abakasis, Carlifornia and Holly Lenker, Lebanon; seven nephews and many dear friends.

A Celebration of Jane's Life will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc. Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 at the chapel. Private burial will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery, Orwin. Kevin D. Eye, 59, Girardville, passed away peacefully Tuesday night at UPMC Pinnacle Hospital, Harrisburg.

Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Robert Sr. and Virginia Grady Eye. He was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Girardville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Eye Sr.

Kevin is survived by his daughter Kymber Eye, Ringtown; his sister Lynda and her husband Jerry Zendrosky, Girardville; his brother Robert and his wife Andrea Eye, Frackville; step-sons: Kenneth Benjamin Jr, Ohio and Shawn Benjamin, Ephrata; step-daughter, Sara Benjamin, Girardville, granddaughter, Peyton Evans, step-grandchildren: Isabella Rovinsky, Kirra Gilroy, Kenneth Benjamin III and Kassidy Benjamin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
